Sesame Cranberry Peanut Butter Breakfast Bars

Anyone bored of their breakfast routine?  Tired of your cereal or toast?

Fear not!  I'm here to help.

How about a delicious Sesame Cranberry Peanut Butter breakfast bar to start your day?  Doesn't that sound better than what you usually have?  I know the answer is yes.

This flavor still wears the "newest flavor" crown around here.  It gets special treatment and attention.  It's kind of like choosing a favorite amongst your kids.  But no one does that, right?!

Well let's go along with it and make Sesame Cranberry feel special!  I mean after all, it deserves the attention.  It totally wins the "most unique flavor" award.  It's slightly sweet yet savory flavor is rockin.

These would be an awesome substitute for an energy bar!  Very simple, wholesome ingredients and not a lot of them-which is our goal when we make our nut butters and cook in general.

Great for your busy mornings, afternoon snack, pre-workout fuel or a late night snack!

Sesame Cranberry Peanut Butter Breakfast Bars
Adapted from Serious Eats

1/2 cup honey
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 cup Sesame Cranberry Peanut Butter
1/2 cup puffed rice cereal
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a medium bowl, stir together honey, egg, vanilla extract, and peanut butter until evenly combined. Stir in rice cereal.
Spread mixture in baking dish. Bake until golden, about 25 minutes. Let bars cool completely before cutting.
